Hi, I'm Amanda

Curator of Love & Light

I’m a Montana-based wedding and portrait photographer and the one behind Willow Reau Photography. My journey began in upstate New York, but the mountains of Montana have been home for years now— a place that continues to shape the way I see light, connection, and the quiet beauty in everyday life. Life here is simple, grounded, and deeply meaningful— and that same perspective carries into the way I photograph.

When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m usually at home with my son Ellis, soaking in the beautiful chaos of motherhood. I'm a dog mom and our home is filled an ever-growing collection of plants that seem to find their way into every corner. I take a cup of tea religiously every morning and journal daily as a means to reflect.

Photography has always been about more than images for me — it’s about memory, emotion, and connection.

Through love and loss, I’ve come to understand that sometimes, all that remains are the photographs.

That will always be my “why.”

Much of my inspiration comes from the quiet details of everyday life— the way light filters through branches, the stillness of a morning, the subtle movement of a space.

These moments remind me to slow down, to notice what’s often overlooked, and to create photographs that feel just as meaningful.

WHat it's like to work with me

Working together is meant to feel easy— like you can fully be present in your day without worrying about how it’s being documented. From the beginning, I take time to understand what matters most to you — not just how your wedding will look, but how you want it to feel. I’m here to guide you where you need it, and step back when you don’t.

On your wedding day, I move with a calm, observant presence. I’ll gently direct when it’s helpful— adjusting light and guiding you into natural movement but I’m never forcing moments that don’t belong to you. The most meaningful images come from what’s already unfolding.

For portraits, I'll guide you with simple direction so you're never wondering what to do, but always in a way that feels natural and unforced. Most couples tell me they felt more like themselves than they expected and that’s always my goal!

I pay attention to the in-between moments just as much as the big ones— the quiet glances, the way your hands find each other, the feeling in the room. These are often the memories that last, the ones that become heirlooms.

After your wedding, your photos are carefully curated and edited with intention... preserving the natural tones, light, and emotion of the day. Your final gallery is meant to feel cohesive and timeless, something you’ll return to for years.

Because in the end, this is about more than photographs. It's about creating something you'll return to, and feel just as deeply, years from now.

the moments that matter most are often the ones you don't plan for.

...the quiet, in-between pieces of the day that pass quickly, but stay with you.

My approach is to preserve those moments with care, so you can return to them years from now and feel them just as deeply.
